There are two features which make Beach Area 3 stand out: a) The Provincial Park office is located there, and b) this is the only beach where you are allowed to bring your dog.
Beach Area 2 is often confused for Beach Area 1. The entrance is at the base of 3rd Street N., and there is a boardwalk which begins there. I mentioned in the overview page that beach areas 1-6 are really just one long beach divided in name only. It's easy to think you are still in one area when you have entered another.
Why is Beach Area 1 the most talked about beach area in Wasaga Beach? For day-tripping sun seekers and week-long renters, this beach offers the amenities which tend to be popular with transient crowds.

So you are renting a cottage in Wasaga Beach for a week in the summer and you have visions of relaxing by a bonfire in the backyard. For health and safety most municipalities have banned leisure fires and the burning of leaves and other materials.
Exactly when are you allowed to set off fireworks?
You and 50 of your closest friends are planning a graduation party. Will you get into trouble for making too much noise?
Snowman Mania his back for another fun-filled 4-day weekend here in Wasaga Beach.
What is Snowman Mania? I'm glad you asked. Sadly, the oddly-named festival does not feature any manic snowmen wreaking icy havoc on unsuspecting locals (how cool would that be?). Instead it's a winter carnival designed to get us out of hibernation and out into the community to enjoy a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities. Snowman Mania is now in it's 11th year and is enjoying widespread participation and support by generous sponsors and volunteers who offer up fun things to do - mostly for free for winter-weary locals and visitors.
